Dear Friends and Supporters
It is hard to know what has happened to this year with almost 10 months gone of the year.
Edith and the Children have a standard week at School this week. The children are now going down to a local hotel to use there swimming pool once a week as the warmer weather sets in.
Paul has a week of trying to get work finished off for September Figures, he also has wages to prepare and a VAT return to complete as well. Otherwise it is a fairly general week. Paul also continues to see the Physiotherapist and it seems to be working well his arm is doing a lot better and the range of moment is coming back now.
Please pray for safe travels during the week particularly for Edith and the children and for Paul pray that he manages to complete the tasks on the days planned so things do not get behind.
God Bless and love form us all here in Dodoma.

Back to a normal week
This week Edith and children will be back at school. Please pray that they settle back in well and for safety in travel to and from school.
Paul starts to complete the work needed for the September figures as well as some time to catch up with Ian the programme manager who returned back to Dodoma last week, so Paul needs to report on his time as acting programme manager.
We are all keeping well at the moment for which we thank the Lord. Paul's arm is a lot better though he still does not have the full range of movement (though improved) in it and has a couple of physiotherapist appointments this week to try and correct that.
Have a good week and God bless you all.
Paul, Edith, John-Luke and Gabriella.

Short time away
On Friday we were able to travel down to Dar es salaam first for a weekend together with most of the other international staff for some time to get to know each other as we are spread around three bases in Tanzania. This was South of Dar es Salaam we then moved north of Dar for some time together as a family and a short break before travelling back to Dodoma on Thursday. In addition Paul went to the MAF Dar office to work on Monday so not all was holiday.
Next week will be back to normal with Edith and the children at school and Paul in the office.
Please pray for continued safety in all our travelling, it is around six to seven hours journey from Dar to Dodoma.
Thanks for your prayers and support.
God Bless
With love from us all

Last week before a break
Sorry that we did not blog last week but it was a rather hectic week and though we thought of doing the blog several times it was never at the right time.
Paul has been acting Programme manager for the last week or so whilst Ian is away in England for meetings. Things started well at the beginning of the week and he had some deadlines to meet. First there was the wages to prepare for 56 staff, they can be quiet confusing here due to many different allowance, loans, and other deductions. Then there was a VAT return to complete by Thursday, this was looking possible all the time even up to Wednesday evening but then some issues came up in the operations department that Paul had to get involved in and much of one day was taken up with these issues and some other work that he had to do as acting PM. He in the end requested permission from the tax office to file the VAT late and if all goes well hopes to have it finished on Monday. This coming week Paul needs to finish of the August figures and then make some budget adjustments and get as far as possible into September figures before Friday.
Edith had a busy week at school but on Friday there was sports day and this was a the final day of the current term so the children are off for the next two weeks. Unfortunately Paul was not able to attend the sports day as all the other parents did due to the work load. Edith is looking forward to the two weeks break. The children have settled much better into school now. Susan Edith's sister who has been with us here, was able to take a trip up to Uganda for a couple of weeks. We were so glad when she arrived back Saturday night.
At the end of the week all the international staff will be heading for Dar es Salaam for a weekend of fellowship together. This is mainly due to the fact that we are spread over three bases and a number of us are new to the team, so it was felt that it would be good to have some time together. We will also be having a visit from Butch and Lynnie Judge from South Africa who are our pastoral carers, Butch will also lead the study times at the weekend. The weekend is being funded by the international staff and not MAF. As we are travelling to Dar es Salaam for the weekend and the following week is still school holiday we as a family have decided to stay down in the Dar area for a few extra days for a break and rest.
Paul's arm has not been causing too much problem only on the odd occasion when he stretches it too far. On Wednesday he went to see a physiotherapist about it as he can not yet straighten the arm out. The therapist said she was surprised how much moment Paul had lost in the arm after an assessment. So now he will have to take some medication for the next couple of weeks and some gentle exercises and then she is hoping the inflammation has gone down and she can start to work on the arm to try and recover the moment he has has been lost. Please pray that all goes well.
Well thank you for all your prayers and support we do so appreciate you all.
God Bless and lots of love from Paul, Edith, John-Luke and Gabriella.
